The Board of Selectmen is an elected board of three municipal officers that are elected by the governing body of the Town of Smithfield, its residents, at the annual Town Meeting every second Saturday in March. The elections are on a one-year cycle. The board meets every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm at the Municipal Building Please note: The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to change any meeting date or time. Please visit the Calendar of Events to confirm meeting dates and times. If you would like to be added to the Agenda for a meeting, please call the office and speak with the Administrative Assistant, 362-4772
Regular meetings are open to the public, meaning anyone from the public may attend, but the meeting is for the Board of Selectmen. The public will be addressed by the Chair so that they can address the board. Meeting Minutes for the regular meetings are posted below and copies are available at the office.
